What type of raspberries should I use?
Fresh or frozen raspberries both work for this recipe. Fresh raspberries can be a little bit more expensive, but if your budget allows for it then go with the fresh berries. Frozen raspberries are a staple in my freezer and usually go for these in preference, simply because this is what I have on hand. Frozen berries also tend to keep the drink colder for longer.
What type of apple juice is best for this recipe?
I’ve used many different brands of apple juice to make this recipe over the years. The apple juice I would recommend is a pink lady apple juice. It’s a little more pricey than a regular carton of juice but the flavor works great mixed with the berries and the lemon juice.
For a sweeter variation, lemonade will also work in place of the soda water.
