Oaty Apple Crumble

Apple Filling
- 1 kg Apples, peeled and sliced granny smith
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 50 grams sugar
- 50 grams brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
Oat Crumble
- 90 grams rolled oats
- 150 grams flour
- 75 grams sugar
- 100 grams brown sugar
- 140 grams butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Place the apples into a large mixing bowl. Add the flour, sugars, spices and lemon juice. Toss to combine and then spread out in a 1.5 litre baking dish.
Combine all the topping ingredients together in a bowl and then spread over the apples. Use your fingers to spread the topping to evenly cover the apples.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown. Remove and set aside for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with vanilla icecream or custard.
