Cook Time 30 minutes
Servings 20 Spring Rolls

Ingredients

  • 20 spring rolls wrappers
  • spray oil

Filling

  • 14 slices cheese
  • 500 grams beef mince
  • ½ cup burger pickles, finely diced
  • ½ onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Pastry Glue

  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 ½ tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  • Start by preparing the filling. Place the mince, onion, pickles, mustard, garlic powder and salt into a large mixing bowl. Mix until just combined. Cut each cheese slice into 3 pieces.
  • Divide the mixture into 20 portions and roll each portion into a small thin sausage shape. Sandwich each mince portion between 2 pieces of prepared cheese.
  • Mix the flour and water together in a small cup or bowl to prepare the pastry glue.
  • Take a spring roll wrapper and place a cheese mince parcel in it. Roll it up like an envelope, sealing it closed with the pastry glue. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Place the spring rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Give the rolls a generous spray with spray oil. Place in the oven and bake for 16 minutes. Turn the spring rolls 2-3 times during the cooking process.
  • Serve the spring rolls warm with tomato sauce, extra mustard and pickles on the side.
