1canDiced Tomatoes
½onion, finely chopped
3clovesgarlic, minced
¼teaspoonsalt
1tablespoonthyme
1tablespoonbasil, chopped
1tablespoonolive oil
1tablespoontomato paste
Instructions
Add the crushed tomatoes to a blender and process until smooth. Set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a frypan over a medium-high heat. Add the onions and sauté for 4-5 minutes until translucent. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds more.
Add the pureed tomato mixture, tomato paste, salt and thyme. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
